Halloween and Fall Fun

We've had a great Fall in the Tenholder house!  It's been fun playing outside with Luke, watching Mizzou football games and of course cheering on our St. Louis Cardinals.  We've stayed busy with family get togethers and Scott and I also went out of town for our 3rd anniversary so Luke got to spend some time with his grandparents.  All in all, it's been a fun first fall with the little guy.  Here are a few pictures from the last couple of months...

Luke thinks he's so big with his big cousin, Kaitlyn.  He loves her :)

Luke and Jack Tenholder at Jack's baptism in October.  FYI - Luke was in a cool polo and Jack was in a dress this time.  haha - had to get you back, Jack :)

I tried to get a picture with Tess and Luke, but Tess was really confused and not cooperating.  :( Poor rat.

Luke is 6 months old!

Luke turned 6 months old on Oct 20th and even though this post is late I still wanted to write a little something about it.  Time really does fly by when you're having fun.  It hard to believe that Luke was so ity bity laying in the hospital 6 months ago.  Scott and I were both eagerly waiting for him to catch on to "eating" so we could finally take him home with us.  And now he's eating REAL food and can't get enough of it.  :)  I started thinking about the beginning of our Luke journey when I made homeade baby food for him the other night.  I couldn't even fathom the idea of Luke being old or big enough to eat anything other than milk.  And here we are.  We are truly blessed to have this little guy in our lives and I thank God everyday that he is a healthy and happy little boy.

 SOOOOOOO Big
This was the night the Cardinals won the world series.  Scott wanted Luke to be awake when it happened. Poor guy was so sleepy, but it will be fun to tell him that he was there watching it with mom and dad when it happened.

Another Day of Firsts for Luke - Parade and MU Game Day

Scott and I have always had Mizzou game day parties with our friends so we didn't think twice that it would change once Luke was here.  He was so good and had a great time cheering on good ole Mizzou with all of our friends.  Here are a few pictures to show!

Earlier that day Luke also went to his first parade.  My mom and I took Luke to the Affton Days parade that my dad is involved with every year.  He slept through most of it, but we did get a few good pictures before the parade got to us

Real Food - well, kind of....

Luke started rice cereal in early September and I wanted to share a few pictures of his first experiences.  At first he was a little apprehensive, but he has really caught on these last few weeks.  So much that we've been giving him Gerber baby food too.  He loves squash and sweet potatoes the most, but he'll take peas and carrots too. Between both Scott and my love for food, we knew there was no way that our son would be a picky eater.  I think he's ready for a t-bone steak!  :)

Luke is loving his new high chair!

Luke's a little Catholic boy!

Luke was baptized on August 28th at Annunciation in Webster Groves.  He did great the entire mass right up until the priest poured the water on his little head (that was my fault - I should have fed him during the mass).  Aunt Jenn and Uncle Jim are his godparents and he had lots of family there to celebrate with him.  We had a little celebration at the house afterwards and good times were had by all!  Here are a few pictures from the day!

Luke and Jack on Luke's baptism day.  Yes, Luke is in a gown and Jack is in a cool polo shirt.  Just wait Jack...you'll be in a dress for your baptism in a few weeks too. :)

Luke's latest accomplishments

Luke has been so much more active and animated this past month.  He's starting to smile and babble all the time now.  He blows bubbles and he found his hands too.  We actually think he may be breaking a tooth with all of the drooling and hand chewing that's been going on these last few weeks.  It's so much fun watching him hit all of these exciting milestones.  It's crazy to think what we were doing a year ago today.  We were most definitely not sitting home on a Friday night talking about how cute our baby is and how much he ate and pooped today.  Wow - how life has changed.  Here are some more pictures over the last two weeks
.

Not sure where this came from, but somehow we have a baby with redish hair!
